Editor’s Note

Hola Flamencos,

Welcome to the new (III) issue of Palmas Juntas! Palmas Juntas is a newsletter for the voices of the flamencos involved within the flamenco community/(Flamenco Society of Central Florida). Although the society is a separate entity, there is a correlation with the two (Palmas Juntas and the Flamenco Society of Central Florida).
Palmas Juntas is a work in progress and is in its “baby” stages of developing into a reliable informative source. Although the emphasis is for flamenco art, it is not limited to flamenco or Spanish art.
Palmas Juntas would like to cater to both the English and Spanish language.
So far I have received a few responses from some whom feel intimidated about contributing their written work towards the newsletter. The newsletter is not designed for critique. Palmas Juntas caters to our voices in what we think, what we feel, what the issues are at hand, and the resolutions. The paper should be embraced as a source with a positive purpose. When you reveal yourself through writing, it gives clarity for others to see your perspective. It’s a way to get ones word heard.
